Mercyhealth welcomes board certified family medicine doctor

MCHENRY, Illinois—Mercyhealth is pleased to welcome Heather Cloum, MD, board certified family
medicine doctor to the staff at Mercyhealth McHenry, 3922 Mercy Dr., McHenry.
Dr. Cloum works with her patients to provide the best possible care for their expected outcome. “I
partner with individuals to understand their unique needs, provide best practice recommendations,
coordinate specialty care, and support them in their health care goals,” she said. “I want them to feel
heard and respected with a clear understanding of their options and next steps in care.”
After earning her medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine, Commonwealth of
Dominica, Dr. Cloum completed a family medicine residency at Aurora Lakeland Health Care,
Elkhorn, WI. She is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Cloum’s special interests include:
 Care for newborns, children and adolescents
 Women’s health, including pap smears and placement of long-acting contraception
 Skin biopsies and cryotherapy
 Steroid injections
 Addiction medicine
