Mercyhealth welcomes gastroenterologist

CRYSTAL LAKE and ROCKFORD, Illinois—Mercyhealth is pleased to welcome Nicholas Baur,
DO, gastroenterologist, to the Mercyhealth Physician Clinic–Riverside, 8201 E. Riverside Blvd.,
Rockford, and the Mercyhealth Hospital and Physician Clinic–Crystal Lake, 875 S. Route 31, Crystal
Lake.
Dr. Baur likes to connect personally with his patients, while also providing the best possible care. “My
objective always is to deliver excellent multifacted and personalized care by providing evidence-based
interventions and tailoring them to the patients as individuals,” he said. “This allows me to meet their
medical needs while also connecting with them on a human level.”
After earning his medical degree at Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine,
Downers Grove, IL, Dr. Baur served an internal medicine residency and a gastroenterology fellowship
at Franciscan Health Olympia Fields, Olympia Fields, IL. He is certified by the American Board of
Internal Medicine.
