Raue Center is excited to welcome Steve Cochran back to the stage along with John DaCosse and Rocky LaPorte for an evening of hilarious comedy! A radio personality for over 30 years, Steve Cochran has hosted his own show from cast to coast, settling in Chicago in the late ‘90s. He has also worked as an actor, appearing in several films, including “Grumpy Old Men,” and also worked as a writer for “Saturday Night Live.” Throughout his lengthy career, Cochran has also performed stand-up comedy with many of the greats in the business. Cochran loves getting out and doing live performances about four times a year, including his annual New Year’s Eve show, now in its seventeenth year! He is best at hosting his own show, and since returning to WGN and being named host of the WGN Radio morning show from 6 a.m. – 10 a.m., he has followed in the “mic-checks” of legends such as Wally Phillips, Bob Collins and Spike O’Dell, and returned the best morning talk show to its rightful place at number one! A WGN Radio personality, John DaCosse has developed a solid reputation nationwide. He has opened for big name comedians including Ellen DeGeneres, George Lopez, Craig Ferguson and Billy Gardell, and has appeared on NBC, Comedy Central and TBS. DaCosse has served as an audience warm-up for many TV shows, including the Rosie O’Donnell and Oprah Winfrey shows, and can be seen at Zanies Comedy Clubs in the Chicagoland area and Funny Bone and Improv comedy clubs across the United States. He can also be heard, along with his character voices, as a regular on the Steve Cochran morning show on WGN. Rocky LaPorte’s appeal comes from his everyman, streetwise style of comedy. Delivering laughs in his trademark Brooklyn accent, he has become one of the most sought after comedians in the country. In 2014, LaPorte appeared on season 8 of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” finishing in fifth place out of 10 contestants. The former Chicago truck driver and dockworker has accumulated a slew of performances throughout his career, including a role as a featured comic on Showtime’s “The Godfather’s of Comedy,” a special starring five of America’s most hilarious Italian-American comics. LaPorte has also performed on the big screen, appearing in two Tim Allen movies, “Crazy on the Outside” and “The Shaggy Dog."
